Being polite is a virtue. It can be a professional trait which can help us scale new heights in our career, profession, occupation and life on the whole. Expressing Gratitude is one such attribute of politeness and soft skills that if used appropriately can upgrade our personality and aid us in winning the hearts of many.

Below are some situations we usually come across when expressing gratitude becomes essential.

 

For-     helping/supporting us.

           Being received politely by others

            Understanding our feelings and emotions

           Accepting our decisions

           Granting permission

           Fulfilling our wishes and wants and desires

           Making us happy

           Being considerate towards us

Being considerate towards our dear ones

Accomplishing our work on our behalf.

           Looking after our welfare

           Caring us

           Advising/suggesting us appropriately

           Being kind towards us.

           Giving us knowledge

           Making us aware of certain important things.

           Making things comfortable for us.

Making us understand the significance of certain things.

Guiding us properly

Gifting us

Accepting our invitation/call

 

Below is the list of various expressions that can be used to convey our gratitude in a polite way. However, different expressions can be used in different situations depending on who we are dealing, how important the person or his help is and whether the situation is formal or informal.

            -Thanks! / Thanks a lot/ Thanks very much.

            -I am very/greatly thankful to you.

            -I am extremely thankful to you.

            -I am immensely thankful to you.

            -I am very/really grateful to you.

            -It is very nice of you.

            -It was very kind of you.

            -It was very noble of you.

            -It is so gracious /cordial of you.

            -It was so sweet of you.

            -I am greatly obliged to you.

            -I am indebted to you.

             -I remain thankful to you.

            - I am beholden to you.

            -I thank you profusely/ sincerely.

            -Thanks indeed!

            -I thank you with all my heart and soul.

            -My earnest/ solemn thanks to you!
            -I remain obliged to you.

            -That was a very kind gesture of yours.

-That was a very generous gesture of yours.

            -I’m genuinely grateful to you.

            -It was truly an exceptional act of yours.

            -Thanks for being considerate towards me.

            -Thanks for being so solicitous towards me.

-Thanks for being so thoughtful towards me.

            -Thanks for being so gently concerned.

            -Do accept my heartfelt gratitude.

            -I convey my deepest gratitude.

            -I’m immensely delighted with your act.

            -Your solicitous act has delighted me greatly.
