Is God real?

Is God real?

By Thota Srinivas

Things and situations cannot manifest by themselves. There is and there must be some paranormal or supernatural power behind whatever was or is or happens on this earth. If everything exists due to some scientific reason, who could be behind the science of all visible and invisible things around us?

Certainly there is a power of immense magnitude and phenomenal aptitude which could have been the sole reason for what existed then, what exists now and what will continue to exist in the future.

Religions and holy precepts on this earth had, are and will persist in influencing man and his actions because the incredible energies and the unimaginable might of man need to be under control.

In a quest to solve the unsolvable, to reach the unreachable, to do the impossible, to achieve the unattainable, to master the uncontrollable, to fight the indomitable, to conquer the invincible, man can go to the extent of undermining the unforeseen consequences which are strong enough to either transform or annihilate the entire species of mankind from the face of the earth.

Fortunately or unfortunately the present day man is so pathetically controlled by his own intellectual, social, economical and emotional tendencies that he can’t even think that he can think about questioning his very existence on this planet.

Sages, saints and scholars have lived and walked on this earth dedicating their entire life to discover the ultimate creator of this universe but in vain. They then named the invisible and unapproachable power as God. They believed that anything which is inexplicable or indescribable or uncontrollable or unquestionable or unrivaled could only be an aspect or force of God.

Some people imagined God as formless as they felt that a supreme power could not be as ordinary as any form that exists on this Earth. They were perhaps of the opinion that a Creator cannot be of the form he creates himself.

While others felt that God manifests himself in every element of nature whether living or non-living. These groups of people were perhaps of the opinion that God takes the forms of the things he created to guard and guide them.

Irrespective of whether God exists or not, one thing is certain…nothing in this universe works without a support system. Everything takes support to lend support to the other things.

The perfect example could be the concept of light, heat and matter in the universe. But the perplexing question is who or what could have given rise to or lends assistance to these magnificent things ?
